I've been happily using etckeeper on many machines, as a good method
of managing changed in /etc.
However, it isn't obvious to me what's the best way to integrate the
etckeeper repository (typically /etc/.bzr or /etc/.git) with other
SCM-aware tools like Redmine or Trac.
The basic problem is that the etckeeper repository is a root-owned
directory tree, and the SCM tool is not running as root, and often
isn't even on the same machine.
There are a few alternatives I can think of (and kludgy workarounds)
but I'd be interested to hear what other people are doing for this
sort of thing.
