Hey There, Anyone else having issues with ftp.nz.debian.org? I have
been getting a "Release file expired" error for a couple of days
now...

E: Release file expired, ignoring
http://ftp.nz.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze-updates/Release (invalid
since 2d 1h 39min 57s)

Just making sure im not going mad by myself here...

Thanks

Simon

Yes I got that earlier today. I switched to ftp.au... which is working fine.

I did the exact same thing yesterday. We should probably report this
since it's been invalid for over two days.

I checked with some of my contacts and they pointed the finger directly at
Citylink...
So I have passed on the details to them via their BAU Faults channel.

If I hear more I'll advise.

Cheers
Mark.

All

Fault identified (ran out of disk space), it's currently doing several gigs
of International downloads to get back into sync again.

Should be back to normal soon.

Cheers
Mark.

Ran out of disk sp--? How did *that* happen? I wonder if they just had
a lot of leftover crud that needed to be cleared out.

Anyway, thanks, Mark! :)

Apparently it was all sorted by about 2am.
Also was observed that Debian must have a ferocious rate of change.... it
now has more free space than was added to it last night. :o

Second that. Thanks Mark.

I was greeted this morning by a report that there were about 140 packages on
my system that could be updated (64 bit Wheezy with KDE). Presumably
something at a low level changed requiring a lot of rebuilds and short term
space requirements on mirrors.
