A general reminder that you must contribute to this mailing list with
the same email address you are subscribed with.
This is an anti-spam measure.
Contributions from other addresses are notified to the administrators
and generally lumped in with the spam we have to trash on a daily (or
more) basis.
On the odd occasion we'll catch a 'genuine' post and either allow it or
hit 'reject' (sending a notification back) but please be warned, if you
post with a non-sub'd address it's likely it'll simply 'disappear'.

It's not hard to get this right... so please help us out :)

Cheers
Mark.

I suspect that I triggered that one. My apologies. Have I now got it right?

Cheers,

Cliff

One option is to subscribe every address you have, but only get
delivered to one of them.

This. And Cliff, you perhaps, but not just you. ;-) It just seemed
like a timely opportunity to remind folks of the limitations.

For anyone who wants to have multiple email addresses involved, consider
this:

- Subscribing is simply tying an email address to the mailing list. A
password is used to manage the subscription.
- For any subscription you can configure delivery options including
setting plain-text-only, getting digest mode, or getting no delivery at all.
- So if you want to receive just one copy of the mailing list, to say,
***@example.com, but then be able to post to the list as,
***@example.com, do this:

--- Subscribe ***@example.com, disable delivery. Still sub'd, still
recognised by the mailing list, but not going to receive any mail from
the list to this address.
--- Subscribe ***@example.com, as usual. This will get mailing list
traffic.

Bingo. Done. Both addresses will be valid to post to the mailing list
_from_ but only one will get email back.

Cheers
Mark.
