editor for OGG video?

i've got some videos from recordmydesktop in OGG/OGV format, and i need to
make some simple cuts. mplayer with an edl isn't working.

i've tried a few video editors but they all all choke on OGG/OGV. is there
an editor that will work with this? i don't want to convert into different
formats just to edit, if it can be avoided.

You haven't listed what you've tried; have you tried Kino?
