OT: Naked DSL Packages

Hi All,

This is kinda off-topic, but I can't really think of where else to ask
this. Does anyone have any recommendations for a Naked DSL package
that doesn't require you to be on the provider's unbundled network? So
far all the major providers are telling me that Howick isn't on their
network and so I can't get it (although I'm still waiting for
Slingshot to get back to me).

I honestly don't see how it can be this difficult to get an internet
connection WITHOUT getting a home phone plan. </rant>

Feel free to contact me off list with suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

www.geekzone.co.nz Forums are the best place for this sort of question.
Plenty of folks with plenty of useful opinions.

Mark.

Excuse me if I mis-interpret your point in the first paragraph however
the Vodafone naked DSL is an internet connection without home phone plan.

Cheers,
Roger

About I all I can offer is that Orcon seem to be pushing naked DSL.
I'm not sure if that extends to outside of their unbundled network.
Although... didn't Telecom offer naked DSL just before unbundling?

It doesn't. I checked.

Maybe, but they currently don't.

Again, this one does not appear to be available in my area.

After the suggestion of XNet and some research on geekzone, I'm
leaning towards the XNet fusion plan [0], which includes a voip
connection and is apparently available in my area. Further suggestions
welcome though.

Cheers,

Rob
